Putnam County Dream Builders Luncheon

We had a wonderful Putnam County Dream Builders Luncheon on March 24th at Cookeville Life Church! Community members, local leaders, and supporters came together for an inspiring event focused on advancing affordable housing across the region, raising $38,091.72 to directly support Habitat's ongoing efforts to serve families in need.

Attendees enjoyed a delicious lunch catered by Strong Kitchen while hearing powerful stories on dreams turning into reality. Celebrating our theme, Dreams Made Real, attendees heard from a business donor and a committed volunteer who spoke on the impact of their contributions and why they choose to invest in the mission of Upper Cumberland Habitat for Humanity. Their perspectives revealed how every partnership helps transform a dream into a stable, thriving future.

Thank you to our event sponsors!

Construction Begins in Overton County

Last fall, we broke ground on House #95 in Livingston. This house marks the first Habitat build in Overton County since 2019, and now, construction is officially underway!

These builds truly take a community, that's why one Overton County man is donating the services of his excavation company to the build. But the relationship goes further: he's a family member of the future homeowners!

"I've had my business for around 50 years and every year I try to do something like this," the family member said. "I'm so happy that this year, I could not only give back to the community, but help out my family in a new, meaningful way."
